Mask shortage: a successful GASS response to the outbreak
With the increasing demand for masks due to the Covid-19 pandemic, GASS asked women with tailoring skills to stitch these items.
Self-help groups from rural areas produce washable fabric masks at affordable prices to address the shortfall during the current outbreak. Some of the masks are supplied to government departments, to schools and some are part of the hygiene kits distributed to the BPL families.
